Liquid concentrate with a single step process used to disinfect and decalcify haemodialysis machine. Meets various disinfecting cycles of haemodialysis machine, Dissolves blood residue.
Active Ingredients
Citric acid: 21% w/v
Malic acid: 2.5% w/v
Lactic acid: 2.5% w/v
Properties
Efficacy: For use in Haemodialysis Machine with proportional mixing system effective at above 600C. Effectively cleaning of calcium, magnesium deposits to reduce Haemodialysis Machine breakdown. Mi-Citro at 840C has a broad spectrum of microbicidal activity and works as bactericidal, Virus inactivating (HBV, HCV, HIV) and Fungicidal.
Biofilm Elimination: The combination of cleaning with Mi-Citro followed by heat disinfection was the most effective in eliminating all biofilm components from the hydraulic circuit of Hemodialysis machine.
Decalcification: When using Mi-Citro for disinfection, Decalcification of the Dialysis Machine is not required.- Chemical Disinfection: As per contact time i.e. 40 to 50 min.(depending on disinfectant) decalcification with citric acid (Mi-Citro) particularly following a bicarbonate dialysis can be done. Hence Mi-Citro can be used as a thermo chemical disinfectant.
Dialysis fluid filter disinfection: The dialysis fluid filter is a fixed part of the dialysis machine for the entire duration of its use. It is cleaned and disinfected together with the dialysis machine. Mi-Citro is a suitable disinfectant (Heat disinfection).

Mode of Action
Disinfection Mi-Citro works effectively by:
Destructing the phospholipid layers in the cell membrane
Disturbance of the intracellular pH balance
Activity strongly increased by an increase in temperature, i.e. at 83?C with exposure time of 15 minutes gives excellent virucidal, bactericidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal properties. Decalcification Formation of Ca/Mg salts or salt complexes helps in removal of calcium and magnesium deposits to reduce Hemodialysis machines breakdown.
