An adult silicone Ambu Bag, also known as a manual resuscitator or bag-valve-mask (BVM), is a handheld medical device used to deliver positive-pressure ventilation to individuals who are not breathing or who are breathing inadequately. This device features a self-inflating, autoclavable silicone bag, which typically has a capacity of 1600 ml to 2500 ml. It includes a non-rebreathing valve with a safety pressure limiter, usually set between 40 and 60 cm H₂O, a cushioned face mask, an oxygen reservoir, and connecting tubing.
