Island Film Dressing is composed of a thin polyurethane membrane, coated with an acrylic adhesive with a non-adherent absorbent pad. It is an all-in-one dressing that allows for sterile, waterproof, and microbe-repellent wound dressing.
This dressing is ideal for superficial wounds and offers protection against friction and other shearing forces. However, the dressing is not suitable for infected or moderate/highly exuding wounds.
